Yes, Alex Smith is a bum. Smith complains about sore shoulders instead of playing and using his maximum potential. He will get better, but the 49ers offensive cordinators keep leaving for Head Coaching jobs. Mike McCarthy left for the Green Bay Packers and Norv Turner left to coach the San Diego Chargers. Get someone like Tom Moore of the Indianapolis Colts to build talent around him. All you got is an aging Offensive Line led by Larry Allen who has tremendous leadership. Whoops I almost forgot Frank Gore the star Runningback of the team. P.S. Get a new coach Mike Nolan stinks. He is much better as a defensive cordinator.

If the 49ers best option is Shaun Hill, they are going to be drafting #1 overall again soon. Shaun Hill may be a competent back-up, but he has only thrown 55 career passes. He was undrafted, and was released by the QB desperate Vikings.
The 49ers need to hope Alex Smith is more like he was in 2006 under Norv Tuner, than 2007 and 2005. Shaun Hill isn't Tom Brady, and I doubt he is Tony Romo.
Look forward to 2008 when a healthy Frank Gore, and hopefully an infusion of offensive talent in the off-season will help them challenge the Seahawks for the NFC west title. They seemed ready to emerge after the '06 season.

Yes, what do they have to lose?.........it will be a preview for next year season. Once again a Heisman doesn't give instant success on the NFL

Sure, I just hope to god they don't try to sign Tony Homo. The last thing Hill and Smith needs is for Homo to try to attack them sexually.
