Hello Mary:

Could your son organize a tennis club for low-income children? Start a class to teach tennis and provide equipment and coaching?

The Eagle project needs to demonstrate leadership and plan development, implementation and evaluation. Your son will want to gather a few ideas, speak with his Scoutmaster, the institutional representative of the troop sponsor, perhaps his school principal or other community leaders. Ask them what he could do to benefit the community, and would be a project that could be completed and measured.

maybe organizing a tennis clinic for kids. However, there are a lot of other project out there. Try looking with a church or school.

He could organize a tennis tournament to raise money for a deserving charity perhaps - like maybe to be donated to the town senior center for something they need.
