George Washington, as the President of the Constitutional Convention, was the FIRST delegate to sign the Constitution on September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia, PA.

The only state that did not have a representative sign the document was Rhode Island.

George Washington did not sign the constitution.

It was signed on by the delegates to the Constitutional Convention, meeting in Philadelphia, on September 17, 1787.
