If it's a chemical pregnancy, then you wouldn't know. A chem pgcy is one in which the egg is fertilized, however, it doesn't implant itself. Many women have chemical pregnancies and never knew that they were pg. The period is not necessarily heavier, nor would there necessarily be a lot of cramping. I had two chemical pgcies that I know of -- was a day late, tested +, then got my "period" a day later... essentially, that "period" was actually a miscarriage.
If you are further along, then it would be much more obvious, of course. Heavy bleeding, possibly severe cramping. I say "possibly" b/c I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks along due to a blighted ovum and I barely had any cramping.

It depends how far along you are. I was 12 wks when I had my miscarriage. It started out as just slight bleeding when I would wipe after going to the bathroom, but it progressivly got worse i'd say within the first 24 hours after the first spotting I started passing decently sized clots and thats when the cramping started. But I would imagine your experience would be different depending on how far along you were in the pregnancy. Hope that helps.

Many women can have miscarriages without even knowing they are pregnant, because it happens so soon, that they haven't even taken a test. A miscarriage at the beginning of a pregnancy like that will be less painful (physically) then one later on when more tissue needs to be expelled.

Its almost like when you KNOW your pregnant before even taking the test, you kind of KNOW when you've lost it. Cheesy much? Sorry. And just like everybody else has told you, its like when you have your period, but with a lot more clotting and painful cramps. It's a sad thought, but it could be worse.

Depends on how far along you are. If you are just a few days, then you would not feel it. At most, a little more cramping than normal.

You would probably just pass the baby during your period, and you would never know. I've heard this is way way more common than people think!
