I'm doing a project in which I will need a pvc pipe of 2" in diameter. However, I need to modify that pipe to make it wider because that specific pipe in that diameter is not sold. So I need to find a way to shave off plastic from the pipe that I have now. Any suggestions?

If looks count you will need to find someone with a lathe to bore out the interior to the size you want.

As far as the diameter it comes in, there are two schedules of PVC and they have two different I.D.s Check them both to see if one is closer to what you need.

Lathe cut would work. smooth, clean and precise
I assume you have schedule 40 pipe you may look at schedule 20 and schedule 80
You may be able to find a bushing .
Is the pipe you have a 2 inch or smaller? like 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 if so it can be bushed to 2 inch. I don't know of any bushings that will go inside the 2 in.
maybe a custom pin could be made

A little more detail could help.

Wider for an ID or OD???

For an ID, a surform drill bit grinder. OD just a Surform File.

If none are available to you, a DRUM sander drill bit for ID, or a just usual sanding/filing/grinding for an OD.

I have no idea where you have shopped but 2 inch ID shouldn't be so difficult to find.
