why does safety come before civil rights? i am having a bit of trouble in this part and i need your help.

I have never seen anything that says your civil rights have been taken away. And the answer to the question is that without security, soon we would all be speaking a different language, and have no rights what so ever. I myself am willing to sacrifice taking a few items on a plane if it means we are a safe secure nation. I think people are spoiled by too much freedom, and now expect it, applying it to everything. Like saying speed limits impede on our right to drive freely.

That sounds like the motto of a future dictatorship who's main focus is not on protecting the rights of most people but rather the profits of the few.....
