One of the better parts of the game is when you get another player to believe that it happened in a room for which you have the card.

It's a perfectly legal strategy. I often hope to get one of the corner rooms dealt to me so I can just pop back and forth through a secret passage.

When I'm in the room I hold the card for, I try to get information on suspect and weapon. When I'm in the connecting room, I can go for all three. This saves me time because I don't have to spend moves in the corridors unable to make a suggestion.

Yes. In fact, one of the best strategies is to bluff some parts of your suggestions with items you already hold cards for. Remember, it is only the Accusation you have to be 100% correct about. A Suggestion, even if fully correct, does not win or lose the game, until the Accusation is made.
