Why is it every time I do a load of laundry it all fits into the basket just fine before I wash and dry it, but then when it comes out of the drier it never all fits in the way it did before? Is there a logical explanation for this or am I just nuts?

Because your laundry has had air pumped inbetween the fibers, and some static electricity is left in them.

Just like when you wash your hair and blow it dry it gives it body and makes it fuller

Either the clothes get fluffed up by air in the
dryer, or the basket shrinks. Which do you think?

maybe it's fluffier or maybe it got mashed into the basket 'cause it was dirty
