Of course. You can give her a token gift...a gift certificate is always good for a teenage girls. And if it doesn't make her happy, i'm sure it will please your step son. So you might think of it as a gift for him too.

we had the same situation with my boyfriends dad's new girlfriend. We've only met her once but will be at our house to celebrate Christmas. We wanted to make sure she will have something to open.
so we went to a jewelry store in the mall and bought one of their spacial buys. we got her a circle pendant diamond necklace for $40 reg 125. It is 1/4 kt diamond and 10kt gold. not the biggest necklace but it is real and a great prices. Most of those stores have deals like this so I'd het that up as an option. She'd really appreciate something nice, esp if shes only 17.

If it is a serious relationship, yes,I know 17, but still we were all17 at one point. Then yes you you should give her something non-personal. Even a gift card to a store where you would like her to shop. Just recognizing the relationship will go far with your step son.

A card is a nice way to tell her that you're thinking of her.
If you think he'll marry her, go a little further and get her a small box of chocolates or a gift card for $10 or so. She'll appreciate your thinking of her in any case.

If your expecting her at gift opening time you should get her a small gift.
You can find many cute appropriate things (on sale even) currently to grab for her.
A small trinket of some sort would work or a decoration. If your son really likes this girl a gift would be a nice way to help welcome her along and to feel welcome. It doesn't need to be anything fancy at this point.

It's a season for giving. Even if you dont know the person that well, just give a small token, and she'll feel happy. Get her a nice top/blouse, she'll appreciate and respect you.

Yes, my brother lives in another state and parents have never met his girlfriend but mum bought her a present anyway.
Just get her something small, like chocolates.. she'll appreciate it!

I don't think so. I mean, you don't even really know her and I'm sure your step son will get her something. I think a nice "Merry Christmas!" and a hug would be fine.

Yes, just to be nice. You could get a nice box of candy or CD.
