That seems to be the point of belief: you accept it as truth, but you don't necessarily know it.

The Bible Is The Endless Source For Declaration Of Right And Wrong < ---- > It Never Becomes Out Of Date Or Needs Revision, It Served As A Corner Stone For Justice Buildings And Court Houses For Centuries, Upon Being Removed, A Fight Was In Order. Ironically, Before A Testimony Can Be Heard, A Person Must Place The Palm Of Their Hand On The Holy Bible, And Swear, To Tell The Truth, The Whole Truth, And Nothing But The Truth, So God May Help Them. Interesting, That Amidst Rich Men And Women, Lawyers And Prosecutors, The Bible Stands To Represent The Truth. Look To The Bible!

If you're talking about philosophy and religion, generally speaking there is no know to know that it's the "truth". It's all a matter of faith. Faith is belief in something without the benefit of empirical evidence to "prove" it. It's a lot harder than simple excepting a truth that is shown to you, but it can give you a lot of strength if you can hold on to that faith.

You know what you believe in is true if whatever is knowable is true, and that whenever something is true, it is also knowlable, such that you believe that which is true.

This is a classic perennial question of humankind: What is knowledge and what is truth (and how are they related, if at all). Check out some basic stuff on Epistemology in a good intro to philosophy book.

Does what you believe make sense? Can you back it up? Research it and all the facts. If the story changes then it is probable not the truth. Just remember that all others that tell you their facts, are just humans also, including myself. They came to the truth about their facts the same way you are going to come to your conclusion.

However, what I can tell you, that the truth for me is, the fact that I believe that Jesus dies for my sins and I believe and have put my faith in Him alone for my salvation and the fact that I am going to Heaven when I die or He returns whichever comes first. No one on earth can deny that fact for me because it is my truth. No one on earth can change my truth because it is my truth. If anyone else says it is not the truth you must know that they are lying because it is my truth. This is the truth I came to after doing what I am telling you to do above.

Evolution changes how it came about constantly. 25000 years or 1 million years. Plus the fact that you have to believe that something came out of nothing. This is impossible unless something created it.

Mormons change what they believe to suit themselves or the church. Just that fact alone puts them at risk for failure - truth does not change.

JW's have changed their doctrine more than 187 times over the last 25 years. Same as mormon reason.

God (Jesus Christ) has never changed His doctrine or how He came to earth or the fact that He has been around forever.

Look for the graves of the other religions leaders. The only one that is empty is Jesus Christs.

If you don't believe me now - then after a whole lot of people go missing and the world tries to explain it away as spontaneous combustion or alien abduction etc. - then turn to Gods word, realize the truth that it what the rapture and believe.

Of all the other religions in the world, the only one that provides consequences, for what happens if you don't believe in it after you die is, Christianity. Why is that?

Faith is Faith no matter what you believe in. What matters is that you believe in the truth.

The definition of truth: a fact that has been verified, that which is considered to be the supreme reality and to have the ultimate meaning and value of existence, sincerity; integrity, a statement proven to be or accepted as true.

If what you believe in meets the defined criteria of truth.
So if that which you believe to be true can not be shown to be false or logically weak then the truth has been effectively approximated.
Truth is a tool, a system of thought that allows one to claim or support claims of fact.

It is the truth......Your truth.

Self-actualization comes down to three basic premises: this is who I am, this is what I believe and the foundation on which my life is built, and this is the way I manifest that belief system on a daily basis.

If you say it so, than so beit. It may not be anothers truth but it is yours and yours alone. If you choose to change your beliefs in years to come, it still will be your own personal beliefs....

I believe in the truth insofar as the truth as I believe it satisfies my own criteria for truth.

I'm not that vain as to think that I could possess belief in anything closely resembling absolute truth.

I guess I believe that the absolute truth will be known eventually, but for now, my beliefs will have to do for me. At the same time, the beliefs of others is pretty interesting as well.

Bottom line truth to me is, humans shouldn't take humankind too seriously.

can anyone really know?

Preachers getting paid to preach cannot be wholly unbiased- they'd lose money if they lost followers.

The CIA has made a whole organization based on propaganda- mixing lies in with credible truth, that people then take in as a 100% truthful document.

You can say your prayers, and use your gut instinct to navigate, but hey, let's face it, until you stand before your maker and he tells you waht you did right and what you did wrong, only then will you have the right answer
