slope is rise over run... so use a calculator and divide 5.5 by 18.58. The slope is 0.3 (to the nearest hundredth). You don't want to use pythagorean (sp?) theorem because that will give you the length of the hypotenuse (the diagonal side of the triangle).

Îy = 5.5 '
Îx = 18.58 '
so:
m = slope = Îy/Îx
m = 5.5 '/18.58 '
