the St. John Fisher tennis coach called me (we have talked 3x on phone) today and told me that i got accepted to the college and i would get a letter by mail in a couple of days....the focus of the conversation was to ask me if anything was holding me back from going to St. John Fisher, but why would she tell me i got accepted b4 i got my letter...if any1 was to tell me beforehand, wouldnt it be the office of administrations or something?...idk i found it kind of strange that the tennis coach told me i got accepted...is this normal???

I'm not sure that this is common behavior, but very often student-athletes have a very close relationship with the coach, which means that they may hear things from the coach before they get official information from the university. She must be very eager to have you go there. The only warning I can give you is not to rely completely on this "notice of acceptance" until you get it in writing. In other words, don't turn down any other schools until you are certain that you have been accepted at your first choice school.
