The only reason you should NOT go to Cuba is if your not interested in the cuban history and culture . Since Cuba is famous for its salsa dancing, historic building, old cars, Che Guevara memorial etc..If your not interesting in caribbean culture, the lifestyle or speak atleast ALITTLE spanish yes you will encounter with people that want to talk to you that cannot speak english so afew spanish phrases wouldn't hurt. As somebody that is part Cuban and proud i must say a lot of people go to Cuba disappointed because they expect a modern American with fast food restaurants, malls and bling bling...this is not what Cuba is about. Cubans like many Caribbeans are very patriotic people and proud of there culture so no mocking :-) also becareful when talking politic's fidel Castro is off the agenda.....Im sure you do decide to go you'll enjoy it, just giving you alittle word of advice..... enjoy!

Common belief holds that U.S. citizens and foreign residents are forbidden by law to travel to Cuba. This is not true. The applicable legislation is the Trading with the Enemy Act under which the restriction is not on travel but on the spending of money in Cuba. Of course one can practically equate the ban on spending money in Cuba to a travel ban because in normal circumstances a visitor must spend on accommodations, food and other necessities.

Unless you're an American, there is no reason why you shouldn't go! Cuba is beautiful country and the locals are amazing.

There is no reason why you should not travel to Cuba unless you don't like to relax on a beautiful beach with powdery white sand and turquoise waters...listening to the sounds of salsa and meeting the wonderfully warm and hospitable people of Cuba.

:-)

You would never regret going to Cuba.

The Diaz Balart family and the Bush family don't want you to ?

If that isn't good enough reason, then come.

Because it is a totalitarian police state, and a little trouble is more like a lot of trouble? I still want to go, but I understand it wouldn't necessarily be like going to Puerto Rico and partying it up.
