I don't get really offended, I just get mad. I always look behind me before I open a door just to see if I'd have to hold it open.

I don't mind at all.
Because people have their businesses to care. Holding a door for a person is just an extra kindness. Beside they will not get award for holding a door for people behind them.
I think it also depend on the mood. If a person is in a good mood, he might feel responsible for holding a door for next person.

Yeah, I kinda do. And I do look behind me, too, to see if there's anyone for whom I can hold the door open.

On the contrary, I always hold doors but I never get a "thank you". I do not know why I still do it anyway.

not really. except for the time I was on crutches and some girl just pushed it open and walked away while I was still ten feet from the door.

Same here. I think it is only considerate to make sure you aren't closing the door in someone's face. I hate when people just stalk on in and let it slam on me.

No, but it is rude. I always hold it for people behind me--I even hold it if someone who isn't close to it--and I wait for them.
