Standard form is Ax + By + C = 0

y = -1/3x + 2

Multiply both sides by 3
3y = -x + 6

Add x to each side
x + 3y = 6

Subtract 6 from each side.
x + 3y - 6 = 0

Some instructors consider Ax + By = C to be standard form.
You should know which one your instructor uses.
