No, it's called "making a profit" and it's how free enterprise works.

(There are a few exceptions, though - in some places, for example, anti-scalping laws prohibit selling event tickets over face value)

No, not at all. If supply is low and demand is high, people are willing to pay over the original price to obtain it. Nothing illegal about making a profit.

No it is not illegal its called making a profit.Everyone does it even stores they do it so they can make money and give the retailer back the profit they owe or sumthing like that

worth is defined as the amount someone will pay for something. If I bought a pen for a quarter, i could sell it to you for a million dollars as long as there is no dishonesty involved, like saying george washington used the pen or so on.

Nope, if people are willing to pay it, then go for it. It is illegal to misrepresent the item to make profit.
