as both the other people said - this will NOT cause the transmission to slip ...

Yes and No with the fluctuating oil pressure, it depends on how bad the leak is. Without seeing the truck, no one can give you a reasonable answer.

NO, the transmission is a sealed unit.I would change the oil pressure sending unit. The rear main leaking would not make it fluctiate

It will not cause the automatic to slip. The seal will let engine oil leak out.
You oil pressure will fluctuate if the oil level gets too low.
