While there were many atrocities form the Eastern Front, The (Bataan) Death March to Americans and Filipinos refers to the 100 mile march the Japanese made the surrendered American and Filipino garrisons of Corregador and Bataan go through. If you were slow, you were shot; if you tried to help others you were bayoneted, if you fell by the way you were left to die......somewhere around 6,000 American POWS were killed over the week long march to the prison camps by the Japanese.......google search Bataan Death March and be amazed and sickened....and you'll never wonder again why we nuked Hiroshima........
