lived in fla my whole life (30 years) never seen snow at all ! i lived between south florida, and central florida. if snow ever happened, it would probably be near the panhandle. Cheap places to live- Ocala and surrounding areas. In order to even make ice on the cars/ outside, my grandparents would spray water outside when it got really cold out to mimick some winter stuff lol.

There's no snow here in TN and it's affordable. The Murfreesboro area is quiet nice and it's growing rapidly, so there's a lot to do and plentiful jobs. They have built a second mall and it's huge.

Anywhere on the Gulf Coast, especially Houston/Galveston. They've only had accumulating snow 2 times in the last 100 years. Or Key West, who has never had snow. And of course, you can always move in my pineapple.

Florida, California, Hawaii, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona are all very warm states which get little snow. All states get some, however, in the very highest elevations. The Siskiyou Mountains in Northern California.get snowfall in the winter, for example, and sometimes even the Grand Canyon does!

I'm in Florida and there is no snow --- I don't think ANYPLACE is affordable anymore, unfortunately. Sarasota is an ARTSY town --- for real.....if you live in a small town out east you may be able to find something affordable. What is affordable to you though? If you can pay $1,000 a month for rent, then Sarasota is your place....oh and I mean a 1 or 2 bedroom apt.

Texas is one of the most affordable places in the country. I couldn't say about snow, but I've never seen it there. There's a book, "The Places Rated Almanac" that lists everything you could ever want to know about a place. Weather, avg income, crime rates, housing prices......I think it's great.

Raleigh NC - it snows about once every 10 years. This week it was in the 70's. The cost of living is reasonable and there is still a lot of home construction and people re-doing older houses. This is a very eclectic artsy area.
