Barry Bonds on the all time list whether he deserves it or snot. I am not all to sure, but he might have ti to for a season, didn't there was one season when he and Sammy Sosa had a home run contest. I know for sure that both Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire had won in 1998, and of course Mark McGwire won it. And for along time before that Mickey Mantle and Roger Marris has a home run contest for 61 homeruns, so she how hard it is to get that many during a full season. I would think that most baseball players would be lucky if they got even half that during a season. And it would depend on how good a hitter they are.

in a single season - roger maris (i hate the yankees, but facts are facts, and all players who hit more HRs in a single season took steroids. hopefully it will be ortiz next year hitting 62 to beat the single season home run record)
in a career - hank aaron

Barry Bonds, although he is a disgrace to the game.
His record should be removed.
