You will have to know some math, because when you prescribe meds, you have to figure out how much they get, by their weight, for example.
Who would want to go to a Dr. that could not perform math basics?

Before you can become a psychiatrist, you must become a medical doctor. Being able to speak, write, read and perform math extremely well are requirements. The psychiatric training comes afterwards. The best of luck!

You'd have to do all of them all the time.
You cannot communicate with your patients or office staff without speaking clearly and articulately.
You wouldn't be able to read the patient's charts or update them if you couldn't read or write, nor would you be able to keep up with the latest research and advances in your field.
Math would be used every time you prescribe medication so as to be sure you are giving the proper dose for each patient.
All are crucial skills for a medical doctor.

There is 365 days in a year there is 360 degrees in a complete circle, the numbers are close enough to give you wonder if they could somehow be related ,the tricks that numbers can play are so manny that it is wise to know as much about these tricksters as is possable esspecialy if you are planning on delving into the depths of the mind ,, not to mention those facts that others who will answer this question will talk about.. but this is one more reason to keep your number making skills UP

u have to know how to speak to ur patient, u have to be able to write notes, and read them as u do evalution....math .well how u think .u have to write prescriptions and that goes with math because there are medicenes most of them anti- depressants that have to be what we call theraputic or no good.we have to know how to calculate the right dosage, the wieght of ones body, the range of theraputic is math

yes, u have to speak or how else will it help them? yes, u need to write in almost every job and reading and math will help too:) no offense, but i particularly wouldn't want to see u if i had problems
