I've dreamed a few times about being stabbed in the back and I wake up with a cramp in my back. (I've thought many times it was because I was being 'stabbed in the back' by someone I know)

Yeah I've had a lot of dreams like that. Like I'll think I'm awake, and then I will go into my mom's room where she is sleeping and her face is all green! And then I try to wake up again and my whole family is in the living room saying that I'm still dreaming and it's REALLY scary, it feels like I'm awake but I'm not. I remember in one dream I had, I had to tap my heels together and say "there's no place like home"! And then I woke up! But I've had various dreams where I died. I got eaten by a huge boa constrictor on the street, I actually felt something bite my neck! And I had a really eerie dream where it was damp out and I walked down a few wooden steps into a lake and drowned, like I commited suicide. Crazy what your mind can do.

If I have a bad dream, at some point during it, a voice (mine) comes forth and announces that this is a dream and it is time to find another with a different plot. Once that statement is made, the entire dream collapses and either I go into deep sleep with no dreams or a different plot emerges.

I've never been in a dream wanting to wake up. I usually don't know it when I'm in dreams. The only time I remember dying in a dream was when I was shot in the head in Iraq. I've woken up from dreams crying though.

Yes its really common, its been said that when your mind is awake but your body is still asleep its hard to open your eyes....I believe its spiritual because I've had it happen to me before but I noticed If I start pleading the blood of Jesus or say "satan the lord rebuke thee" I wake up almost instantly....you should try it if your not athiest or something =) good luck and pleasant dreams

Yes I have had that happen. I have never been killed in a dream but it is uaully a nightmare where something bad is about to happen to me. I am always relieved to find it is a dream but it haunts me most of the day, the memory of whatever was about to happen.

The death in your dream relates to death from the old form or situation and birth of the new form. Has there been any changes in your life recently. Are you in denial about it? Your mind is subconsciously telling you that you need to make or accept that change to "wake up".

I was being chased by my boyfriend who was abusive and he beat me into acoma. I couldn't wake up until I was dead and as soon as my dream ended my eyes popped open. Don't forget that some dreams do come true.

Last night I was driving the wrong way around a rotary (traffic circle) against a lot of traffic. Trying to wake up I found myself steering my bed quilt.
