The previous answers are definitely good advice. In addition to those posts, I recommend rubbing a candle or some other form of wax on the areas that stick - if it is the paint that is sticking, wax will break the seal and lubricate the area where the door is stuck. This works well especially if you have painted the door and/or jamb recently.

This is most likely caused by your door frame swelling in relation to humidity. A quick fix would be to remove the door and plane the side away from the hinges, the top and the bottom. Remove as little material as possible. You would be suprised how little wood needs removed to free your door.

If it is wood, it expands when it has moisture in it. If you live where you can paint or varnish it now, take the door off, and paint or varnish the bottom and edges of the door to keep the moisture out, and keep the wood from swelling. I bet you will find that the edges have never been finished.

check for the squarness of the frame of the door, if it is not square it will rub up against the frame when try to close it or open it. if it is not square use shims to pry up the sides that are not level. this so fix the problem.

you should be able to see where it is rubbing. you could sand those spots and then rub with a candle . it is probably just humidity that is swelling the door or the frame.
