Mine always does the same when i open the oven. Open a door or use the fan above the stove. It will stop unless its faulty. If it makes noise totally randomly then its faulty. If all else fails smash it with a big hammer

Could be there's enough smoke in the air yet to set it off. Take the batteries out for 2 hours and put them back in later and it should be ok. Stick them in before you go to bed so you don't forget.

you need to vent the smoke /steam out. Not much on smoke detectors that plug in.

Depends, is it mainstream to leave it on or off? BQ: Not a big sunglasses fan. BQ2. For girls, yes, for guys, in the right context. BQ3. Nope. I am against cruelty though.

find the spot where it detects the smoke and vaccum it out to get any debri out or smoke

Try leaving it unplugged for 30 min. & perhaps leaving it in the ouside air.
