i just finishes lies of silence by Brien Moore, i liked it but i don't think everyone else shares the same feeling!! its set in northern Ireland in all the political troubles but it doesn't centre around politics, politics is just used to bring everyone together into the situation!!

The kite runner and a thousand splendid suns.. written by the same author. also the first 2 books of the Eragon trilogy...the third book is still being written.... If you saw the move Eragon the book was a whole lot better then the movie.... I thought the movie would be like lord of the rings and they made it a short movie and only covered maybe 1/10th of the book.... then the women's murder club there are a number of books in the series by James Patterson.... if that does not keep you busy for a while then I have more books that might interest you....

The only TRULY "good" Book! THE "Good Book", also known as my KING JAMES BIBLE!!! Man will NEVER come close to God's word for truth, beauty, and practicality when it comes to books or ANY writing or form of communication! I'll take the "Holy One" over "Hollywood" any day! Man's books may make the "New York Times Best Seller List", but God's word is "for ever settled in heaven"!!!

"Ibn al-Haytham: First Scientist" by Bradley Steffens. It tells the inspiring, true story of a medieval Muslim scholar who overcame bouts of mental illness to develop the scientific method two hundred years before the Europeans learned of it--by reading his books. You can find reviews of the book and read a sample chapter at http://www.ibnalhaytham.net/

I'm still leafing through the entirety of
Lawrence Lessig's "Free Culture".

He's a Stanford Professor, and it's one of
the toughest of most-engaging books.
