Some couples agree to have an "open marriage" meaning that they are still free to date, have affairs and then come home to their spouse. In such cases the couple agree to a set of rules to keep these "cheats" from upsetting their secure marriage.

For all other "normal" couples, cheating is strictly forbidden and a major justification for divorce. For most people cheating results in a lack of trust, a sensation of being violated, broken vows, and a great sense of loss. Once cheating occurs the couple are never the same again.

Here are the facts of life and you decide if it is or isn't:

1. There is no Santa
2. There might be a Bigfoot
3. All men cheat, almost all women cheat
4. Marriage ruins relationships (moving in is the same)
5. Everyone lies (you even lie to yourself)
6. Life is not fair

Good luck and Happy Holidays. Email me if you want to hear the truth. You can ask me anything. I don't lie unlike the other answers you will get.

It is not O.K. to cheat, but I guess you will anyway!

If you are cheating, whats the point in getting married? Hopefully one of these days you will find the man of your dreams and he will cheat on you and you will be totally devastated, you will then know how the other wives/girlfriends out there feel when some 'slapper' bonks there husband or partner.
Its not always the women's fault but when/if it happens to you it will tear you apart inside.

I say it depends. Should you decide to cheat, then you can fault your partner for doing the same or leaving you altogether should s/he find out. It means that there are problems in your current relationship that need to be addressed, but who am I to judge. Whatever gets you up in the morning, I say.

No, it's not OK. I've done it too. However, knock on wood, you won't "always" get caught. Unless you count by your nosy daughter. :(
