My parents are travelling from the UK to India for 2 weeks on business on January 1st.....and they have been wondering how they will manage for money while they are there. If they are not able to obtain Indian rupees before arrival in India, will it be easy to do so once they have arrived? And during their stay? They will be visiting New Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Tell your parents to walk in to the Forex counter at the arrival lounge at the International Airport, In India, Thomas Cook and LKP are the two big names providing this service.

They can change the GBP or Euro to the Indian Ruppes. Paying for Cabs, tipping the Hotel staff should be done in Indian Rupees.

For any other big expenses, like shopping or settling hotel bills can be done wither with a credit card or even by the cash in GBP or EURO or USD....all big hotels and shops take these currency, though it's not official.

Hi,
In most of the airports foreign exchange counters like Thomas cook would be available. Credit cards would also work, but there might be a 1 or 2% international transaction fee for each transaction. Also if the stay is arranged in a decent hotel, the hotel staff could help you with foreign exchange.
Hope this helps..

To you he looks like a chimpanzee??? Have you ever seen a chimp?? You are f'king crazy or who ever arrange your marriage is evil. My guess is that it is you. I doubt very much he looks anything like a chimp. I imagine your mental problems have more to do with your fears than his looks. First of all. ALL people have about the SAME number of hair folicles per square inch of skin. The genetic differences are mostly due to how large the hair is in diameter and how long it grows before it falls out. You have as many hairs on your face ...or chest...or back..or butt as he does. Chances are yours are much finer and much shorter. So, he is hirsuite. And your reaction is that his hair is ugly. Well, that is just stupid. I know, it is what it is, but it is just a totally irrational response to human variability. There are a couple of things you could do: Get some counseling. Your marriage is in trouble. Ask him to wax or shave. You could help. Touch him. I'll bet his hair feels good. If you're willing to give him a chance. But it sounds that for some reason (and I doubt it is the hair) that you have decided not to actually commit to the marriage. Nothing we can do about that. Either try to fix it, or end it.
