I cleaned it out earlier today. I can't remember if it was before or after I noticed that things in the freezer part seemed kind of frosty like the door had been left open. Anyway, I hit a few things under there, mostly a couple of kid toys that had gotten under there, and pulled out some dust, but I didn't hit anything too hard. Anyway, about 3 hours later, things were thawed! So, I don't know if it was already on it's way to going bad, or if I killed it. Any ideas? Thanks so much!!

Also, what did William mean by "get a brush there cheap"?

Also, is there any way to tell if I pulled a wire short of hiring a repair person? Would something leak out if I broke a condensor coil?

You could have poked a hole in one of the condenser coils under there, or you could have pulled a wire loose.

The brush he is referring to is about two and a half feet long and about two inches around and designed to clean the coils on a fridge, usually available at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Yes, the freon would leak out. Try looking under the fridge with a flash light and see if you might see a wire loose some where.
Since you aren't real sure what you are doing, I would recommend you have someone look at it for you.

You may have can u give any more details? does it leak? does it come on but not get cold or does it not even turn on? MY mothers refrigerator was only about 4 years old and it actually died because of all the junk under it that was never cleaned so i wouldnt reccomend to any one to not clean it if your afraid of breaking something.
