You'd be living in the Middle Ages, yes. The High Middle Ages to be precise. The High Middle Ages was the period of European history in the 11th, 12th, and 13th centuries (AD 1000–1300).

Living conditions were good if you were wealthy and noble, otherwise life was hard and short. The clergy and nobles were at the top of society, with a great many peasants at the bottom. Peasants worked on the land and lived in rough huts, which they often shared with their animals. They slept on straw mattresses on the floor. In the middle were the scientists, merchants, craftsmen and yeoman farmers.
