As a Louisville fan, I'm ecstatic.
Still, you've got to feel for their fans. They went from looking at a NC appearance to losing to Pitt, and then losing their coach in a couple of weeks

I'm not sure Mallet (6-6 250) fits that system, but maybe he'll adapt his play book to fit him in

He has moved into a situation which may be his last job as a college head coach. Michigan is a school where a coach has job security and loyalty from the administration/boosters, even if there is a step back for a year or two.

Thank goodness it wasn't Miles!
I think Rodreguez will be great for Michigan. He seems to be a good guy with a clean program.
I know Michigan has never run the spread offense before, but I think change will be good right now. Plus, Rodriguez's spread is a running spread, so their style won't change much. It's a good thing for Michigan.
If you don't like the hire, give the guy a chance- ie a couple years- to see what he can do before you shoot him down.

i'm hoping not. i admire what they have happening at WVU, and Noel Devine could shop the offense working stable the subsequent 2 years a minimum of. i don't understand what offensive equipment he would use interior the enormous ten. i've got continuously been partial to the guy who took this equipment to the subsequent point staying there... Bobby Petrino could have.

Fantastic
Rodriguez brings the original spread offense into the most boring offense in the nation
As an extra plus, Michigan is now high up on Terrelle Pryor's list, who everyone is touting as the next Vince Young
Mallett should already be looking at schools to transfer to

I'm excited to see how he does, and I'm really excited about the recruiting possibilities. I do feel a little bad for the WV folks, but the more I read from them the less bad I feel.
Best things about it are the new offensive system/coordinator, getting recruiting going full speed, a new strength and conditioning coach (literally going from one of the worst to one of the best) and hopefully still keeping some great coordinators (loeffler, english, jackson....)

I think he got the job because nobody else wanted it. Sucks for WVA fans I guess, but it will suck for Rodriguez too. I'm not sure that guy can coach with the likes of Tressell in the Big 10.

It's been said that Coach Rod has been very difficult to please.
Apparently Bama couldn't please him.
I hope WV gets a coach that doesn't need an *** kissing before every game.
