ok, my older sister has turner syndrom, & yet i no nothing about it!!! all i no r some of her symptoms or wutever, she doesnt get a natural period, she takes medicine 2 get a period, she takes female hormones, and shes really short.
this is all i no about it, but i would like 2 no more. if u no about turner syndrom could u please tell me some facts about it?

me & my sister r really close, practicly best friends, and i feel like i dont no about half her life.
i dont really want 2 ask her about it, cuz we have a large age difference and it would b really awkward.

Turner syndrome is caused by the absence of one of the X chromosomes and is only seen in females. Decreased intelligence is common, but certainly not universal. Most have short stature. The ovaries function poorly and the affected person rarely ovulates. There are isolated reports of pregnancy, but I suspect these are via egg donation and intense fertility intervention. Most persons with Turner syndrome take hormones in the teen years and beyond, and for the past decade or so they also take human growth hormone to increase their stature.
