Well, all I can say is that I get lonely all the time and what cheers me up is getting out of the house. I don't always do that, sometimes it's hard because I'm craving the attention of loved ones and not strangers. But it's better than nothing. There are many of us here in the same boat and we take comfort from our friends on-line. Volunteering is a great way to meet like minded people. I will do that when(if) my health improves. If you live in the Salt Lake area, e-mail me, maybe we could meet up. I hope things get better for you.

To answer your question, everytime I try to analyse my life and the problems I'm in.
My advice is... don't think about it, lighten up, whatever it is, it will pass. Go take a walk, through some safe place (I wouldn't want anyone stalk you) and enjoy all the beautiful things you see. Go through crowds and try to identify yourself with people passing by, take a guess about what they do, what they like... Do they have problems, is anyone miserable too? go to a more secluded park (make sure about its safety, though) and enjoy the nice silence it brings....
Hope that helps, and cheer up, it's ok to be lonely once in a while, but remember that it will pass, you'll feel the support in others (friends, family) in no time. Untill then remember you'll always have the people here for a nice word.

i used to have the same problem, up to the point where i became depressed and wanted to commit suicide, but I overcame my deppression. but it just depends on you. First i used to try and hang out with friends and I never got to, I was always lonely b/c no one wanted to hang out with me, but i learned to have fun by myself, u have to try and make yourself happy, before u try and let anyone make u happy, Another thing is you could also join some clubs and organizations. do some charitable work, someting. you'll interact better with people. I hope this helps.
