Who was the greater monster in Frankenstein...and why do you think it was?

The scientist was named Dr. Frankenstein.
The monster had no name.

Some would argue that Dr. Frankenstein was more monstrous, because he interfered with nature and created life in his lab.

Also, the creature that he created was naive and unprepared to deal with his surroundings, and met a terrible fate through no fault of his own.

wow, thats a debate.
One really has to be sympathetic toward the 'monster', I think. He had no hand in his creation, and didnt the creator bear the responsibility? Victor Frankenstein was the most monstrous in that he did NOT consider the outcomes of his actions, and in his arrogance. Shelly and many others would argue that he possessed the quality of hubris, pride in such an extent that he felt he could impose on God's jurisdiction.
