Will it have an impact on Obama's campaign, being that he is only half Black and half White? (In case people weren't aware of it, I'm referring to Former Ambassador Alan Keyes).

Jason G: The reference to "half White" was about his mother. Apparently you didn't know that Caucasian means White.

Prancinglion's Avatar: I would have to agree with you on the racism. Sadly, people have said they will vote based on race, and gender for that matter. But, it's the way it is for some which is why I ask the question.

It might have, if he was a Democrat. Keyes is a Republican. Most blacks consider him another Clarance Thomas. They think he's a race traitor. Sad, but true. Keyes is without a doubt the biggest intellect in this race. None of these other sorry losers, black, white, or whatever, could carry his intellectual jock strap! Unfortunately, it's not brains, but BS that wins presidential nominations, and campaigns.

Personally, I think Alan Keyes is a man with opinions worth hearing. He is an intelligent, articulate man, as is Obama. However, he doesn't have a history of winning elections and he lost to Obama in the race that put Obama into the US Senate.

Alan Keyes simply doesn't have enough following or money to get heard and to get news coverage, so he will have minimal impact on Obama's campaign.

What, again??? Keyes tried to be the late-entry Republican candidate to the Senate from Illinois when Jack Ryan's divorce & custody records were made public and tanked his campaign ... Obama won that election. I'm rather dumbfounded that this is going to be tried on the national level. Not to take anything away from Mr. Keyes personally, but ... it's just way too obvious that he's being floated as a foil for Obama. Again.

His mother is caucasian. Do your research. Just because there is an African American candidate doesn't automatically mean that every single African American in the United States who is of legal voting age will vote for him. Many are supporters of Hiliary Clinton. Obama has several caucasian supporters as well. He wouldn't be a senator otherwise. Wake up and pay attention people.

You do realize that white admixture is nothing new to us..Black americans are average 20% white anyway. The fact that Obama belongs to the African American ethnic group will be enough to ge t him the black vote..And yes he will get the black vote despite what the media says..

Keyes spoke at the Republican debate in Iowa First debate he attended I believe and though he made some valid points no one takes him serious and how do you know he is a full black American?

Did you mean, "A Fullback?" You know, like in Football, meaning "a position in the offensive backfield", or as in Soccer, "a defender playing in a wide position", or maybe you meant "A Fullback", like in Rugby, " a defensive position behind the main line of defense"? I'm not really sure if Barak Obama is a "Fullback" { actually, that definition would have been more accurate than what you're pitifully attempting to articulate}, but I'm absolutely sure you made up the word "Full Black"...My, my, how cute! You're a little clone of your president, he makes up nonsensical words, too, like, "strategery"...Ah, well, "C'est la vie", birds of a feather...

Even though Keyes is full blooded black, he has absolutely no credibility. He didn't in 20O4, when her ran against Obama for U.S. Senate of Illinois and he has no credibility to his name now.

If you vote for someone or against someone based on their race, I'd consider such a person a racist.

Warm regards,
