Why does a man state that he really wants to get with a person? Then when the person reciprocates, the person who "gushed" all over themselves, "acts" as though he has no clue. This has not been done "once" but multiple times. When he appears, he is all "happy" to see me. He even pretended he didn't say that he cared for me, to all of those people. What is going on here. The way that he acted, it almost sounded like an advertisement. He "kissed me" on the cheek at a "party" and no alcohol was served there. He "hugged me" in the aisle at church. This is very strange behavior.

If you are talking about a grown-up, he sounds like he's got issues. I guess he's immature or emotionally unstable.

Either way, it doesn't sound like he's ready for anything yet.
He's sending out mixed signals.
Do you really want to have to live with this kind of attitude all the time? I don't think it's worth it.
