The Carolina Hurricanes have 17 Wins, 14 loses, 3 OTL, but 37pts.
I always thought that it was 3 pts for a win and 1 pt for an OTL. But I guess I'm wrong. Does anybody know how this works?

2 points for a regulation time victory or 1 point for going into overtime with a possible 2nd point for winning in overtime/shootout.
17 x 2 = 34
3 OTL @ 1 point ea = 3
34 + 3 = 37
