Lieberman just endorsed McCain, If they join as running mates it could really pull together a lot of people who are tired of all the partisan bickering.

I think they are both appealing to the moderate population in the country. I often disagree with McCain but I think he has a genuine sense of integrity and values. I like that he campaigns against pork-barrel spending. Lieberman is also a moderate who frequently crosses party lines (officially independent now). I think that the ticket would have appeal in the general election. The 30% who are dems won't like them cause McCain is Rep and Lieberman is not a true Dem. The 30% who are Rep won't like them cause McCain is not a true Rep and Lieberman is a dem. The 40% who are indipendant will probobly like the split ticket and feel it is a good move for the country. Only problem is that the 40% don't vote in either primary. They can never make it to the National election.

And the people answering politics questions on here are likely to be commited to one side or the other and unlikely to support the pairing for the same reasons.

Lieberman has been cutting his ties with the democrats and if he ran with McCain it might actually hurt. he does not have enough support to actually be considered an independent
that could pull those votes. a true republican and democrat ticket probably would never work due to the extremist on each side. it is a shame that we probably won't have a chance
to see a good split ticket...................

how about Richardson and Keyes

i think of of a McCain/Lieberman value cost ticket would be wodnerful! i will think of of of no opponent much less complicated to defeat indoors the suitable election. properly, diverse than in step with threat a Romney/Giuliani value cost ticket. we could've a former torture sufferer who won't arise against torture paired with a genocidal Democrat who forgot his ideals -- or an on-decrease back/off-decrease back abortionist cultist paired with a three times-married, go-dressing, continuously-abortionist. superb possibilities those! i'm thinking Kucinich ought to win the suitable at those odds. particularly some you cons ought to remember the finished turn-flop factor from '04. thinking your in user-friendly terms probability is the two international-class turn-floppers, nut-jobs, or broke -- i'd say you're in for a bumpy holiday. And thank god for that!

No. McCain used to be a moderate. He chose to cast his lot with the Bush neoconservatives, instead of remaining loyal to America. He has nothing to offer us except more of the polarizing hatred the right-wing have brought to America. Lieberman is simply n opportunist.

No. Lieberman has no clout outside of the Repub party. He lost the Dem race due to his pro-Bush, war mongering stance. Where is the "moderation" in that?

The GOP candidates are terrible. They need to support Ron Paul.

That is an interesting idea. Indeed if I wasn't opposed to McCains views on illegal immigration I might be tempted to put my support and efforts into that type of a union.

I may consider it if Joe was the Pres. and McCain was the VP candidate, but I wont vote for McCain alone or with Joe as a VP, unless McCain has a guarantee to die while in office clause.

No, Lieberman is a Republican. I don't think most Democrats see him as anything but Bush's buddy.

Mc Cain/ Huckabee
I believe they can balance each other. Best advantage is a team who continue to challenge and ask why. They work together well. America fells comfort with Huckabee, secure with Mc Cain. I have always liked the ticket . Happy holidays.
