its not matter at absolute 0 because that matter would still interact with light and with other matter. and we know the properties of matter at absolute 0 we can predict them and we've gotten matter to about a billionth of a degree above absolute 0. and space has a temperature, there is energy everywhere so nothing can ever reach absolute 0.
no one knows what dark matter is or if it even exists for sure.
