When you're under constant stress, it does effect your immune system, so you may be more susceptible to illness. It's never a good thing to have a supervisor that lords over you. Can your family live on a single income while you look for another job, can you lengthen your commute and get a better job? Don't know where you live, but look into government jobs; local, state and federal, see if there's an office within a reasonable commuting distance, for federal positions go to usajobs.gov. You can apply online. Hope you get out of there, it sounds miserable. Best of luck, take care.

There are some situations that are just not worth it. If going to that job is physically affecting you, then you need a change. Is it possible that there's another job within the bank you can do without having to be watched like a hawk? If not, try to think outside the box and look around town to see if there might be a better opportunity elsewhere.

I would leave. There has to be somewhere else in your town that you could get a decent job. If you are getting sick and stressed out from where you are working now then there really isn't any use in staying there. I have had jobs that I have dreaded going to every day and it brings nothing but stress into your life, professional and personal. I would talk to your husband about it and try to work something out so that you don't have to stay there any longer! Do what is best for you =]

You should try and make the best of it. It sounds like there is not alot of opportunity in your town, and you said you like it. Buy Lysol and Clorox Wipes to cut down on the germs that the freak is spreading. ALso, try to find better ways to relax and stop worrying about her so much. I know it is a cliche, but attitude is everything. Ignore her and do your job. Dont feel like you are stuck, you have a job, you make an honest living, so what is wrong with that?

It does not matter where you work at. There is one at every block. All you can do is concentrated and be better then the others. You will survive and outlive them. The bosses change often and soon you have a new one. She continues to be sick, is your chance to learn to do her work, and pretty soon the upper management will notice. It is the art of survival to do multitasking, and that includes learning her job too. What you need is something after work to relieve you of your stress. Something for you to be mad at, like swimming or just a walk., Get mad at the ground as you stomp you way. By all means never let go at work or you will lose it. I use to go the beach and yell at my boss. Does not matter how much you do, it will never be enough for them to be satisfied.

How many people work in your department? My recommendation is to start networking with them, and getting them to kow who you are. If your boss doesnt recognize who you are and what you do, the best alternative is to have your piers see it. Seek out other people to help make the environment better, or try and start things that are fresh and fun for everyone there. More than likely, you are not ht eonly one who feels like that. Be the change you wish to see..

Have you been to the doctor? If you are severely stressed the doctor can write you a work excuse so you can take a few days off to collect your thoughts. I know what you are going thru someone close to me used to be in the same exact boat as you.

Sit down and have a serious talk with your husband. You have just as much right to be happy where you reside .You shouldn't be miserable just because 'he likes living there'. Let him know and tell him all your concerns.
