Grave of the Fireflies, like everyone said, I'd recommend it too, however I didn't watch it, but a lot of people talk about it including my brother (who had seen it)...

Some episodes may have a really nice ending, while others can be really sad. I still find myself crying after every episode. I don't even know why sometimes, it's just really good
You should definitely see Grave of the Fireflies as well.

Grave of the Fireflies, hands down. Besides being a really amazing movie, it was definitely the saddest anime I've ever seen. I don't know anyone who *hasn't* cried during this movie. I'm sure you'll love it.

There is Chrono Crusade. It was the only anime that made me cry. I highly recommend it.

try FULL MOON wo SAGASHITE, MYSELF;YOURSELF(but kinda funny)..
some of the episode in myself;yourself made me cry, but almost all of the episode of full moon really made me cry..=]
