right, just simplify what you've got and that works.

if it says to solve in slope intercept form then do
y-5= -4(x+3)
y-5=-4x-12
+5 +5
y= -4x-7

if it says to solve for point slope form your fine :)

Yes right so far but tidy it up
y - 5 = -4x - 12
y + 4x + 7 = 0

y=mx+b is the equation for slope

Plug in y=5 and x= -3, then m=-4
So,
y=mx+b
5=(-4)(-3)+b
5=12+b
b=-7

Equation should be y=-4x-7 (which I think is like yours, but simplified)
