Hee hee. If she threatens to come back, I'll personally initiate the apocalypse myself.
Keep in mind, tickets for the final show went for a thousand bucks a piece-- give or take several hundred-- so it's not like anyone in the crowd that night was "luke warm" on her.
Working in the Las Vegas travel industry, I can tell you her fans really are of the "fanatical" variety. There are people who paid thousands of dollars on airfare, hotel, and tickets to come over from Europe JUST to see her. There are others who make a point to see her EVERY time they come to town, price be damned. And there are people who cried and claimed their lives were ruined (not just their vacations, but their LIVES) because she got a cold and cancelled a scheduled performance. When Celine cancels, the drama is legendary.
The best story was a middle-aged man who called and begged me to help him find a way to get his 13 year old SON back stage to meet Celine. I explained I have no such power, but he patiently divulged what a fan his son is and how important it would be to him, yada yada, etc. To this day, I still wonder if that man KNOWS his son is gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you... I just wonder if he knows.
That said, I must admit I saw the show (for FREE, it's very important to me that you know that!) and the actual show surrounding the woman-- as in lighting, costumes, sets, dancers, video footage, etc-- was impressive. It could've been any chic up there on stage singing any silly soap opera-ish music, and the look of the production would still make you go "wow!" So obviously, to someone who has that bizarre genetic defect causing them to be crazy about her, it must be better than sex. Celine did not design the show-- it was designed by Dragone, of Cirque du Soleil fame, with no input from the singer.
Did I mention I did NOT pay money to see it? =)

Freak show? Sound like a great show to me. I love to watch her sing, not worried about the dancing. Oh I wish I could have gone before the show closed.
