how can i convince everybody that using laptops inside your classroom shouldn't be allowed?

If you're the instructor, you tell them "laptops are not allowed in this classroom" and leave it at that. After the moans and groans, tell them if they don't like it, they can try to transfer to a different class.

you can't as i even have to take the register using a laptop inside my classroom now!
