Also, What is made in the Clavin Cycle and why? ^///^ I have a Biology final comming up and I can't find the answers to any of these in my notes or online... Thanks for helping me!!!

Photosynthesis makes sugars because those are the molecules that have energy stored in their bonds.

Photosynthesis makes oxygen because the process has to split water in order to get the H+ ions and electrons. The oxygen from water isn't needed, so it is given off as a by-product or waste product. Lucky for us!

The Calvin cycle is the second stage of photosynthesis. The Calvin cycle actually builds the glucose using carbon dioxide from the air and using energy and H+ from the light dependent reactions.
