Flashcards help, maybe you need to study more than you do too. Also maybe study with some students who are in your classes. Study a lot. Also study with less distractions. Shut off the tv and computer and other stuff. Or study some place less distracting like somewhere outside the dorm or house. I was doing bad in school first till I studied more which I figured out was my problem and studying with other classmates also helped figured out I needed someone to study with, I think hopefully I did good on my finals from using those things.

First of all, you shouldn't be waiting until finals week to ask this! At this point, anything you do will take some getting used to and might not work too well for you. It helps to try a new technique for a few months before taking major exams.

Secondly, what I suggest is a technique of narrowing down the material so that you can focus on what you don't already know. This is especially useful when you are time limited. Make a copy of all your notes. Then go through them once, crossing off anything that has become obvious to you by the end of the semester. That reduces what you have to study. As you look at the notes, you can think to yourself, "Yes, if I were asked about this, I would know this." Then cross it off - you don't need to study it again. You should keep narrowing it down again and again until you only have the few, toughest items to study. Put your time into those. Then, before the exam, pull out your original notes (which aren't all crossed out) and go over them one more time, to remind yourself of all the things you already know.

Get a tutor (many schools have free tutorial centers). Study every day. Form a study group. Go to office hours. Stop assuming things about the other students. Just because they don't ask questions in class doesn't mean they aren't having trouble in class.
