As soon as the landlord loses possession to the lender, your new landlord is the lender. If you don't want to take the current landlord's explanation, you will shortly get one from the lender, who now owns the property.

Eviction from the premises will occur if you do not leave willingly, and the time frame for that varies by locale.

I deal with this all the time as a Real Estate agent.

Unfortunately in the case of a forclosure the tenant loses out. The bank has a right to evict you. Your former lease has no effect.
They also do not owe you your security deposit.

Most of the time a bank will offer "cash for keys" meaning if you move out quickly, without them having to evict you, they will pay you. I just did one where the bank was offering $1500, which in this case was equal to 2 months rent.

Your leasehold interest passes to the new owner, who may or may not evict you.

The other issues have nothing to do with the foreclosure, and should have been dealt with earlier, and can still be dealt with separately. But the bank will probably just evict you when you start complaining about how the place is uninhabitable (state law and/or your willingness not to object legally permitting).

YOUR landlord still has to go Thur legally removing you but it my believe that the lender. also the utility if in your name can't be cut off without your OK.
i got evicted the utility's still on after a month.

ingore the landlord as of now.
the bank--IF they want you out
and most do not want to lose
tenants, must go to court to evict you
and that takes 2 weeks.

Also, if the landlord rented you
an illegal property, you can sue for
the return of the rent.
