I'm 6 days late on my period based upon my average cycle length--I'm 26 and have had my period for 14 years and have NEVER been late. Before I even noticed I had missed my period I slept two days in a row for 13 hours (granted my job is between multiple time zones...but I've been doing this for a year now) and when I was awake I had lots of gas (no pain). Upon researching I saw that that gas can be an early pregnancy symptom. My chest has been itching as well. I typically have a day of dark brown discharge before my period, currently I have had light brown/pink discharge several times in the past few days while wiping. I took two hpt's today, both -. 2.5weeks ago I thought I had the beginnings of a UTI (freq urination, very little expelled, drops of blood even.) but I woke up the next day, fine. Last week I had one incident of painful sex, I have been with my boyfriend for several months and he is very well endowed so I'm wondering if maybe there has just been some damage done?

I think, you should make an apt. with your doc. for a check-up & make sure everything is o.k. with your body. In the mean time drink lots of fluids like Cranberry juice which has been used for more than a century as a home remedy to prevent and treat urinary tract infection. Although it was previously thought that cranberry worked by making the urine more acid, more recent evidence suggests that constituents in cranberry called proanthocyanins prevent bacteria from adhering to the walls of the urinary tract. This is thought to allow urine to wash away the bacteria.
Do you have any of these symptoms?

Back pain
Blood in the urine (hematuria)
Cloudy urine
Inability to urinate despite the urge
Fever
Frequent need to urinate
Painful urination (dysuria)
Malaise (general discomfort)

She might be pregnant - or she might without difficulty be pre-menstrual. Lots of ladies have delicate breasts, fatigue, and cravings instantly earlier than their cycle starts. If you believe she's pregnant, then it is top time you bought a being pregnant experiment and discovered. Since she did not leave out her prior interval, regardless that, and presuming you've gotten been making use of safety/start manipulate (????), then probabilities are that she's simply PMS. If she misses THIS interval, then that is a entire different can of worms, and it is obviously time to buy that experiment.
