I need a new laser printer for use at home, and would rather buy at a store instead of online, so there aren't many choices.
How about the Brother HL-5240 or HL-5250DN ? Anybody got one? Like it, or not?
Also: if you print a multi-page document, do the pages end up in the output tray in order (like an office laser printer), or do you have to shuffle them back to front (like most ink jets)?
Thanks!

i have a brother hl-5250n right now and i love it. what great about having a network is that you can share the printer through the router or hub instead of a computer that would have to be on to be able to print. as for the other question you can choose how you want to output

Brother makes a very good laser printer.

And the order of the print output (known as collation) is controlled from either the word processor program software or some printers also control this.

If both are activated then it prints normal as both cancel the other out.

I have a tiny HL-2040 and it does just what I want it to do and it does a good job. I always print multi-pages.

Print order is an option on just about any printer. Just go into printer preferences and make it print last page first or first page last.

You can also collate or not...

standard answer 47: go to the manufacturer's website, you are looking for 'downloads' sometimes you have to go to support first. be sure to select the proper model # of the printer AND your operating system. (Win 2k drivers won't work on 9x for example)
