Should i buy it from apple at full price to be assured that incase it has any problems i can send it back for a new one
or should i buy it from say, newegg.com for cheaper or even on ebay for much cheaper, or should i just go the safe way and buy it from apple.com?

i'd say buy it from amzon.com coz they don't include the tax.like if you buy a 80gb ipod from apple it's gonna cost you 273$ where as if you buy it from amazon it costs you only 249$ and they give you the free shipping.don't worry, you'll get the warranty and everything even if you buy it from amazon.com.

I agree with Slayer. I purchased my iPod from Amazon.com. Free shipping, no tax and it arrived quickly. You can always send it back if there are any problems, the same as if you had purchased it from Apple.
