How long should a monologue be?

I'm writing a monologue for english class and we have to do one of the characters from animal farm. Right now it is about 9 sentencese, I just need to know if it should be longer.

if i were you i would make it a little bit longer. you want it to be 2-3 mins. long or long enough to get your point across/ give people the feeling you want them to have/ if you are happy with thhe feeling you get out of it i would say that it is long enough

read it make sure its about a minute or 2 long
